Omaha!

Look it’s Peyton Manning! Ahhhhh we are still freaking out! 🙂 This morning we were leaving our room to go on a wagon ride and our nurse quickly approached and asked if I was a football fan. She saw my shirt and said, oh great! Then she told us that Peyton Manning was here on the 6th floor! We got so giddy. I immediately regretted my current look of no make up and wet bun hair but he was right around the corner! Then the speech therapist came to get Mac so instead of waiting for him to come to our room, we went to meet him in the hall.
We walked up, the child life lady introduced Mac to Peyton and then we tried to get a picture and Mac started to cry! No Mac don’t cry now!!! It’s Peyton Manning! He backed up a bit and noticed my shirt and said, I like your shirt! We shook hands, took the picture and he said, we’ll be thinking about you. Then off he went! We continued to freak out on the way to therapy and I wondered to myself why do we always try to play it so cool?! Inside I was screaming and wanting to tell him congrats and you’re the best and I cry when I watch shows about you on ESPN. On the outside I was doing none of that. All I said was thank you for doing this. Later Jeremy said, why didn’t we ask for his autograph?! Oh boy, so many regrets 🙂 haha
Out of the whole hospital he only came to the 6th floor and only part of it at that! How cool is that?
We already loved Peyton Manning but we love him even more now! What a wonderful surprise!
