Day 17

Posted on Nov 28, 2013 by | 0 comments

There are a lot of nights that I am up more than I sleep. I find myself praying for strength and peace. I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father that comforts me and fills me with all of the patience and energy I need. We really feel his love for our precious baby Mac. Mac is still suffering from internal sores and ear pain but I think we are managing it better. Almost all of his hair is gone now- I will post a picture soon. He did eat some bananas today and kept them down so that was great! His ANC was 2.4 yesterday and today- the lowest its been so far. We are wondering if/when we will get to go home for a few days. Maybe late next week? It all depends on his numbers and condition *today’s little miracle: they let us skip his 12am vitals and it was great to have less interruptions in the night *funniest story ever: so I have been pumping a lot because Mac hasn’t been eating as much. Jeremy is so great to help me clean everything and put the milk into the storage bottles. So… I had left the room and Jeremy was pouring the milk from the pumping gear to the storage bottles when a male nurse came to the door to get the milk. He looked at Jeremy and at the milk and said, “ummm did you or your wife produce this?” I think Jeremy was stunned and said “Are you kidding? My wife did” haha
